All training takes place at your premises.
There are different types of overhead cranes including:
Bridge Crane
Overhead bridge cranes are the most common models on the market. A bridge crane has two overhead runway beams that are linked onto the support structure of the building.
An overhead bridge crane has a hoist which will move left or right. A lot of times these cranes will also run on a track, so the whole system can move forward or backwards through the building.
Gantry Crane
A gantry crane is an overhead crane that has one or two beams supported by freestanding legs and moves on wheels, a track, or rail system carrying a bridge and a hoist which will move left or right
Jib Crane
Jib cranes can be mounted on a wall with a boom extending over the coverage area. They can also be freestanding, meaning that the system has an individual support column. This allows the crane to swing 360º.
Training on their safe and efficient use is delivered on your site.
Each course involves three stages of testing:
- A theory test – consisting of 25 questions
- Pre-use inspection test
- Practical skills test involving various manoeuvres completed in a safe manner
